Following along with Stitch & Sable Living - a brand that I developed - I created animations that continue to represent the brand.
Because of the hand-drawn look, I decided to make the animation feel as if it’s being drawn directly onto the screen. I started with this for the dog in the logo. As the dog becomes more prevalent, the word “Living” begins to animate in, along with the arched border and ending with the text features.
I originally created this logo in Adobe Illustrator, then brought the layers into Adobe After Effects to begin the animation. Due to the nature of animating in After Effects, I re-drew the lines with the pen tool in AE to get the animated effects that I desired.
Finally, I added a sound effect of a pencil drawing on paper to begin the animation, with a fade-in of some music that accompanies the mood well.

To ensure Stitched & Sable Living’s web presence, I created an animated interface - how the user could navigate the web page, and where it would bring them. Using motion design skills is beneficial in this way because animation can be a visual to help understand how the user would move from one section to another with ease, or help them to complete an action.
I created the UI in Adobe Illustrator, then brought the layers into Adobe After Effects to create the animation. Additionally, I added sound effects to make the UI animation feel more realistic.

Ladapaw Letters is an animated newsletter revolving around pet adoption and wellness.
I’ve become very passionate about pets’ livelihood, which sparked using my knowledge and interest to spread information to others. Each newsletter has a different topic and gets sent out via email in bi-weekly installments to the audience’s emails.
The ideal audience are those looking to adopt, who’ve already adopted, and some newsletters may benefit pet owners who’ve maybe chosen to shop.
There are two newsletters, to which I’ve become a master on each topic with credible research and data. I found the topics after creating and distributing a survey to potential audience members to learn more about their interests and what they’d like to discover. Through this survey, the participants also left their email information if they wanted to receive the emailed newsletters.
After choosing the topics and doing extensive research, I then put all of the information into visual scripts, pages, and included planned animations with storyboards. Each newsletter began in Adobe Illustrator for the layout, type, and characters. The Illustrator layers were then imported into Adobe After Effects to create the animated pages and characters that move throughout.

One of my dogs does this cute little paw dance to show her excitement when she’s about to get a treat or go outside. It’s an adorable personality trait of hers so I captured it using a quick, short-framed GIF.
To create this GIF, I used Photoshop to draw each frame, with frame animation to create the loop.

This cinemagraph shows my dogs ears blowing in wind, created by a blowing fan. I started with setting up the scene by using the rule of thirds and finding an interesting angle.
To create the cinemagraph, I first used a tripod with my camera to film Nilla’s ears blowing, then brought the footage into Adobe After Effects to freeze everything except for her ears.
